Handicraft production of gin made of raw materials and flavors from Sunnmøre. In Harald Strømmegjerde`s micro-distillery you can be guided and get to taste the newly developed gin. The farm Bakkane 29 is located in the beautiful Straumgjerde in the bottom of the Sykkylvsfjord, with an amazing view to Blåbretinden and the mountain range between Sykkylvsfjorden and Hjørundfjorden.

The production of gin started in july 2019, and Harald will also develop local aquavits and whiskeys. The heating of the distillery and the production room takes place with bio-heat from the farm heating plant, and the barley malt which is used in the production will be used as feedstuff after the mashing, this for full utilization of the raw material.

The fresh water comes from a local water source or "grova" as it is called. The history says that "grova" never froze, and that the crystal clear water that drained there have saved several travelling companion along the way. And when the winter stole the water from the inhabitans, it was here they quenched the thirst. "Grova" stands there to this day, and the people call it "brennevinsgrova"
